TEMPORARY POWER

This is for temporary service only. When you are ready for permanent service, please refer to the Load Sheets section and fill out the load sheet that aligns with the requirements of your specific job.

Temporary power plays a crucial role in construction sites lacking a permanent electrical connection. While this service is available year-round, it is important to be aware that exceptions may arise during the winter, potentially hindering our ability to provide temporary power, such as road cuts and trenching.

Temporary service remains active for a maximum of two years from the meter’s initial setup. When you are ready to retire this service, please contact the engineering department at (970)887-3378 ext. 721 and we will furnish you with an affidavit to be notarized and an invoice for the retirement of the equipment. You will continue to receive a monthly bill for the service availability charge until the affidavit, payment, and the infrastructure removed.

Please complete the Temporary Service Only Load Sheet to start this process. If you have any questions, please call the engineering department at (970)887-3378 ext. 721.

State Inspection(s)are called in by the customer or electrician. Inspections are required prior to MPEI setting a temporary meter. MPEI can only accept meter releases from DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies). Website: www.dora.colorado.gov
