IMPORTANT NOTICE: Grand County Emergency Management requests temporary power shut off

Today, Grand County Emergency Management (GCEM) asked Mountain Parks Electric to temporarily cut power to Grand Lake and the surrounding mandatory evacuated areas. GCEM requests power to be shut off at 3 PM, MDT on Sunday, October 25 and to remain off until evacuees are allowed re-entry into the area.

By taking this action, GCEM hopes to limit "the potential for residential flooding."
