We're cooking out at West Grand's Back 2 School Night!

Mountain Parks Electric and Guzman Energy are teaming up again to sponsor a cookout at West Grand High School's Back 2 School Night. Our employees and board members had such a great time cooking and serving families last year, and we're looking forward to doing it again on Thursday, August 13. Serving starts at 5:30 p.m., with Back 2 School Night activities kicking off at 6 p.m.

MPE members are invited to join us in Polhamus Park on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 7-10 a.m., for a fun member appreciation event featuring:

• Come celebrate MPE's 80^th Anniversary!
• Free tethered rides in the Touchstone Hot Air Balloon, weather permitting. Special thanks to our power provider, Guzman Energy, for co-sponsoring the hot air balloon!
• Free coffee, pastries, and famous Java Lava Breakfast Burritos, while supplies last
• E-bike test rides with Two Pines Supply 
• EV test drives with MPE’s fleet
• Tables from our community partners, Sustainable Grand (energy efficiency assistance), Mountain Family Center (family assistance), Grand Foundation (housing assistance), Northwest Council of Governments (CARE Program), Grand County Office of Emergency Management (Grand County Alerts), Grand County Wildfire Council (wildfire preparedness), and Drive Clean Colorado (electric vehicles)
• Chance to win amazing photograph prints from MPE's monthly winners of the Outdoor Photo Contest; free MPE 2027 calendars featuring member photos, while supplies last
• Updates from MPE staff on rebates and other exciting happenings with our co-op
• Fun activities, including those featured at our Annual Meeting — Watt Price is Right Game, Energy Bike, Plinko

The 2026 Coffee with MPE events are being scheduled and will again be held across our service territory (see dates and locations below). Each Coffee with MPE runs from 8-10 a.m. Mountain Parks board members and staff will be on hand to answer any questions and discuss what's happening at your electric cooperative.
