As many members know, MPE is transitioning wholesale power supply from Tri-State to Guzman Energy. As customers of Tri-State, we participated in their rebate program. The cost of this rebate program was included in our wholesale price of power, regardless of how many members took advantage of the program. When MPE transitions to Guzman in February of 2025, we will self-fund our rebate program, meaning it will become part of our operating budget.
-
The new and improved rebate program will be more efficient and streamlined for staff, resulting in less labor costs to administer this program.
