Systems Administrator (this position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule)
Mountain Parks Electric is a distribution cooperative seeking an individual for the Systems Administrator position in our Granby, Colorado location. Mountain Parks Electric has 65 employees, approximately 1,800 miles of line, and serves approximately 22,000 meters. MPEI is headquartered in Granby, Colorado located at an elevation of 7,935 feet, 90 miles from Denver International Airport and 25 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Experience gold-medal fishing in the Colorado and Fraser Rivers or take a boat out on Lake Granby, the second largest body of water in Colorado. Granby is near Shadow Mountain and Grand Lake and offers spectacular scenery, miles of hiking trails connecting Granby to Fraser, Colorado, downhill skiing, mountain bike trail systems, and down-hill bike park and cross-country trails at nearby resorts.
This position is responsible for managing IT systems administration in conjunction with the IT Team. The position includes but is not limited to: -Build, configure, and maintain servers, storage, and other data center equipment. -Implement system monitoring ensuring IT's infrastructure is running as intended. -Serves as primary Windows Server administrator.
-Administers Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams, SharePoint, Azure AD, etc
-Manages server and workstation patching. -Administers VMware Esxi environment.
- Assists with end user support when needed. -Reviews, researches, and recommends infrastructure enhancements and updates. -Assist with the maintenance, repair, and upgrades of MPEI's communication/network infrastructure including wired, wireless, and fiber networks between offices. Applicants must have an Associate's Degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or a closely related field and 5 years of related professional experience, or a Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. COMPTIA A+, Network +, Security +, Microsoft MCSA certification or other industry certifications desired.
