Update (10:55 a.m.): Power has been restored to all meters following the outage in Granby. Crews patrolled the lines and the cause was undetermined. The outage occurred while this portion of the system was on Hot Line Tag, as multiple crews were doing maintenance work on the lines while they remained energized. Any contact to the lines while on Hot Line Tag will immediately de-energize the lines for the safety of the linemen.

MPE is currently responding to an outage affecting around 2,000 meters in Granby. Crews are patrolling the line to determine the cause before restoring power.

With our new outage management system software and our AMI metering system, MPE can detect and respond to most outages immediately. For members attempting to call our offices, the phone system can get overloaded during outage situations. Please know we are working on restoring your power as quickly and safely as possible.
