Scam Alert: Stay Safe, MPE Members ⚠️
Update (June 22, 2026): Mountain Parks Electric (MPE) was notified of an attempted phone scam in which the caller claimed to be representing MPE and was requesting immediate payment. The member hung up and called MPE Member Services at 970-887-3378, option 3.
Please remember:
🚫 MPE will never ask for payment over the phone
🚫 Our employees are not allowed to take payments during a call
If a real MPE Member Services representative contacts you about your account, they will direct you to one of our secure payment options:
✔️ Automated pay-by-phone system
✔️ Online or through the SmartHub app
✔️ In person at our Granby or Walden offices
If you receive a suspicious call:
• Hang up immediately
• Do not provide payment or personal information
• Call MPE directly to verify
