On Wednesday, June 26, MPE crews will be replacing an end-of-life cable at the Windy Gap/Murphy Substation, which will require a planned outage effecting 104 meters on Highway 125 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Unfortunately, the outage is required as there is no way to keep these meters on while this cable is replaced. Completing this job is vital for the reliability and safety of MPE’s system in the Granby and Hot Sulphur Springs areas. Once this replacement is complete, it is expected to last MPE and our members 50 years.
