A power outage has been restored that affected around 300 meters this evening in the Winter Park Highlands area. The outage was caused by a bird, and it created a larger outage than in normal conditions due to the system settings being in a higher sensitivity setting for fire mitigation. Due to the current high risk and potential of wildfires, the MPE system sensitivity settings have been increased, which aids in fire mitigation but also may lead to more blinking lights or power outages. As the threat of wildfires decrease, our system settings will be returned to normal.
