Today, numerous consumers have reported scammer calls from a man fraudulently identifying himself as an MPE employee. The scammer threatens to disconnect electric service if immediate payment by credit card is not made over the phone. Do not pay. Please hang up immediately and call MPE to verify the status of your electric account.
