Typically, Mountain Parks Electric does not perform underground work during winter months and places holds on residential work. This is driven by the increased cost that ground thawing adds to projects. Further complicating the need to hold residential work is MPE’s current backlog and supply chain challenges.
Effective November 15, MPE will not provide new residential underground contracts until March 2023. We will continue to accept load sheets, work on customer project design and complete most temp metering needs. This communication is intended to set expectations for completion of work and provide new customers with an appropriate timeline for their projects.
